A Workshop at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, (IICA) Manesar. The workshop was titled 'Public Procurement and Competition for Industry sector'. The workshop instructors were Prof Alberto Heimler of SNA , Rome and Mr Antonio Capobianco from OECD, Paris.

The objective of the workshop was to help officials who are in charge of procurement for their companies to spot such illegal practices

Profile of participants and speakers:

26 participants from companies including Indian Oil Corporation, Pawan Hans, National Projects Construction Corporation Ltd, Ral Vikas Nigam Ltd, National Fertilisers Ltd, MTNL Ltd, Container Corporation of India Ltd, Projects Equipment Corporation Ltd, etc, participated in this one day workshop. The participants were senior officials including Central Vigilance Officers , GM Materials, Chief Manager Contracts from the above companies. The workshop essentially focussed on anti competitive practices such as collusion, bid rigging etc in the process of procurement.
